Brody and the stool

Today I took Brody to the doctor (had a few bloody noses over the last few days, which after the doctor visit seem to be nothing). He put his sippy cup on the doctor's stool that spins around. He was fascinated by this for a few minutes (well 15 minutes). Then he figured out that he could push the stool around. Then he decided he wanted to push it under the exam table. The problem was that the stool would not fit under the exam table with the sippy cup on it. The sippy cup would fall off of the stool every time he tried to push the stool under the table. He started to melt down. Luckily, I only had one kid at the doctor so I was able to distract him before he spun out of control. All and all he was incredibly cute and charming. He was talking in the sweetest tone you can imagine throughout almost our entire visit. Then when we left the office I ran into a mom with 3 kids, the youngest of whom was there for the 12-month well visit. Although her kids were scared and hid behind mommy, Brody said hi to all of them and then proceeded to "show off" what he could do, playing with the toys in the office and climbing on to and off of chairs. It was so sweet to spend a few minutes alone with one of my kids.

the title of this post made me think of the other kind of stool... thankfully the post did not go there. :)
